General wear and tear will occur naturally as with any piece of jewellery, depending on when it is worn and how it is stored. Here are a few tips for keeping your new jewellery looking fresh.
Try to avoid wearing when showering, swimming or to bed.
Sterling silver can naturally tarnish with exposure to air. So when you aren’t wearing your jewellery try to keep it in the box it has been packaged in or any kind of jewellery bag/box.
I send out a silver or gold polishing cloth with each order to help keep it looking shiny.
As for plated pieces, please take extra care as they plating will naturally wear off over time quicker with jewellery that sit against the skin. Avoid hand washing, perfumes and creams when wearing your plated items which will slow down the process greatly!
